Default Left O2 Lean

I was running my datamaster today since i put a new tranny in and a code popped up saying that my left o2 was lean. So what would cause this? I put new o2s in about a month ago, unfortunetly they are bosch since i couldnt find any one with delcos. It only happens sometimes then the ses light goes off. thanks

well i would think either you have an exhaust leak before the o2 sensor or the o2 sensor can be a defect! when i bought my delco o2 it was throwing running to lean and low voltage! took me for ever till i figured out the o2 i just replaced was bad! and also becareful since the computer senses a lean condition it will dump alot of extra fuel in that bank to be safe! and all that fuel can lead to clogging the drivers side cat!

ok thank you. Im going to go buy delcos to replace the bosch. I will change one side then just wait to change the other when it goes out. Can anyone tell if the left side is the passenger or drivers side? It can be both depending on which way your looking at it.

Look for a vacuum leak. Things like a leaking PCV, Intake or any other source of air after the MAF will cause the computer to throw lean codes. Easy check is get some starting fluid or wd-40 and spray around fittings listening for the idle to change. If it changes you've found the source of air.
