Default Best low end torque cam?

With a stock stall

I'll have headers on next weekend and i'm already looking forward towards a cam. What do i want? Something that will promote low end torque since my car will see the track maybe 1% in it's lifetime. What do you guys think? Anything come to mind or should i just go with a custom grind?

LS6 cam worth looking into for what i want?

I have been running a small VHP cam for the past couple of years that was designed for an auto. I picked up 40 hp with it and it provides good power through about 6K RPM. It was designed for the low/mid range power. All depends on how aggressive you want to get.

Pick a cam for the car you have now and not for the one you will have in the future. As for now end TQ, its sorta of the same thing, its in relation to HP and RPM. Just pick a cam that doesnt push the powerband forward too much.

the Hotcam, TR224/224 come to mind which give you some power runs on a stock converter and gears. (Yes it will run better with more stall and more gear lol )

Soemthing like TR's old man cam (214/220 .600/.523 115 LSA ) might fit your needs if you're looking for power down low and a stock-like idle.

The LS6 cam is not a torque cam. You'll want something with a very early intake valve closing point to bring up your dynamic compression. Since you're running stock stall, you'll also want to limit your overlap to no more than -6 degrees at .050".

216/220 .561/.564" 112LSA +2 advance.

This would be a great choice. Very similar to mine, and my tq curve is so flat its rediculous... huge low/midrange torque
