Default 212/218 cam. Need new gears?

I just bought a comp cams 212/218 114LSA cam. I run 2.73 gears and stock TC. Should this cam need any upgrades because it is fairly small? Comp says that I dont even need to retune which is nice. I just need to find out if getting gears and TC are neccesary. And dont send me replies saying "your cam sucks" or "you should get a bigger cam".

I know what I want. I just need a hotter-than-stock cam that sounds nice and gets me a few more hp. Plz share any information with me you might have that is constructive. Let me know if youve had any kind of experience with this cam or similar grinds. Thx

any cam larger than stock needs a tune, simple as that. But yes you CAN run 2.73 gears and a stock converter with that cam, but honestly, you will be faster if you got either gears or a converter instead of installing that cam. Just my opinion, sorry if you dont like it...
