Paint & Body Work - WS6 hood material, SMC, Fiberglass or metal?

What is a factory WS6 hood made from? Fiberglass, or SMC (sheet molded composite) which is a fiberglass like material. Were there any Factory WS6 hoods made from metal?

the only metal hoods a WS6 car got was the scrap flat hood that was installed from the plant to ASC for the conversion, where it was replaced by the SMC hood.

Thanks for the info. I knew the hoods were made from SMC. I just sold one on ebay and the buyer has a misconception that the hood is suppose to be metal. I'm just trying to let the buyer know that they are SMC.

Yes SMC on the LT1 cars also. I think the early Firehawk hoods may have been fiberglass though.
