Starter shims? I bought my ls1 out of a wrecked 99z, it had no starter. When I bought the new starter it had no shims so I installed it. Was wondering if these motors used any shims on the starter. It doesn't grind when I start it. I'm starting to get back to work on the car since it's warmed up a little bit. Thanks
