Default ls1 into lt1 z28 a hard swap?

I have been looking around and the prices of a ls1/4l60e is cheap....Less than 3k with low miles. This is making me REALLY think about the swap. I was about to drop a bunch of cash on a motor/tranny for the 95. I could spend less doing the ls1 swap unless its a huge PITA.

With the wiring harness, engine. ecu, tranny would the swap be fairly painless? I know I will need a k member and new headers but other than that is there any major parts I will need?

I figure the guages may be different but I figure that can be fixed.

How painless it is depends on the research you do before hand.

You can use your current gauges with a 98 3 wire temp sensor and a reporgram of the PCM to run the tach.

I will look into it harder. I almost have enough cash for the motor/trans. I am in no hurry so I may be able to get the motor/trans and then start piling up parts I need.
