Z06 Cam, milled heads, stock pushrods?
I am about to have a Z06 cam installed from a `03 Z06, as well as have the heads shaved about .030". Will I be ok using the stock pushrods? I would think with the Z06 cam`s smaller base circle, and taking that much off the heads, it should come close to equalling out. Or do I still need to go with a longer pushrod?
Thanks

Yeah that post was really hepful.
Anyways, the base circle of the z06 cam is 0.050" smaller than the normal LS1 cam so usually you use a 0.050" longer pushrod. Some people re use the stock push rod. With the shave, you are somewhere in the middle here. I would use the stock length ones and it should be ok.
And just for the record there are a a lot of auto guys running the 02,03,04 z06 cam and making good power.

no prob. I defend this cam because I just finished the install of the 02 zo6 cam in my car about a week ago. Haven't got her fired up yet but should be interesting. Its a was a relativey stock a4 3.23 reared 2002 Z.
Everyone chooses a cam based on the research they have done and what they think will work for them. I chose it because of the mild manners and decent power gains people are seeing with it.
Orginally with a lid, predator tune and loudmouth exhaust it went 13.0 @ 108. ( that was with a 2.0 60' time on the original Goodyear RS-As)
I am adding the z06 cam, ls6 springs, SLP pulley, Pacesetter LT with catted Y and Yank 3200 stall all at once. I'll post results as soon as I have them.
