Default Custom cam Vs. Futral F12/F13

How big of a difference would I see with a custom Comp Cams XFI/X-ER 230/230 .612/.592 111+2 LSA cam Vs. a Futral F12 - 230"/230" .595"/.595" 112+4LSA?

With that being said, is there that big of a difference to jump to a F13 230"/232" .595"/.585" 112LSA?

If my calculations are right the custom 230 has 8* overlap, F12 6* F13 7*

This is on a all bolt on stock headed '98 A4 with Vig 3200, 3.23, LS6 etc

Thanks a lot. Post similar setups, and how you like them. Thanks.

Close your eyes & take your pick, those specs are pretty close to each other to make any real difference.. If I had to guess, the custom xfi/xer cam might be just a tad better under the curve.. All three cam will probably peak in the 6200 rpm range.

Thanks for the response. I'm really surprised that no one else had anything to say. I've been researching cams for too long I guess.

I think the Futral cam will produce some better torque numbers and peak power. Allan has spent a lot of time testing those cams, and has not made many changes to either of them. If it was my choice I would go with the F13. I think on a stock headed car any cam with over .600 lift will probably hurt you a bit since most heads fall off after that.

Just got a F13 but not in yet... Allan knows his stuff but all 3 will be very close.
