My cousin has a 99 Chevy Express 3500 he's about to part out, and said he'll give me the motor for $50 if I want it, but I figured I'd try to get some your guys' insight before I give him a straight answer. The casting number is 10243880. I looked it up on mortec, and it said (the obvious), 95-00 vortec truck, 2 or 4 bolt, gen I crate, zz4. Does that mean it has the same dimensions as that of a zz4 block, and could be rebuilt as one? I have a wide array of parts off of a 95 z28's Lt1, including heads, opti, and a bunch of other stuff -but no block. Would they be interchangable with the block off of the Express? I'm a noob, so Any and All feedback would be greatly appreciated.
