Default Need help ASAP!

I have a moser 12 bolt in my SS, it is lowered on KYB AGX shocks and a pro kit. My rear end is actually hitting my gas tank after maybe an inch of travel!

Would it severely weaken my rear if I were to change from the heavy duty moser cover to a thin autozone one? I don't know what else to do for the clearance issue.

Does anyone make a rubber spacer for the rear springs!?

Thanks for all your help!

are you sure its hitting the gas tank?, more than likely its hitting the upper pan hard bar. thats where mine hits, you can either grind on the cover, or simply allow a dent to form on the upper pan hard bar, thats what I did. There are also tubular upper pan hard bars that may solve the problem
