I was wondering if the edlebrock dual cat shorty headers part # 66022 would bolt on to my single cat lt1 camaro y pipe without problems or would I have to have a y-pipe fabbed?

You'd have to modify the y pipe. The dual cat headers come down different than the single cat versions. If you go to summit and look at the pictures you'll see.

Don't get Edelbrock shorties. They suck and cost a lot of money. I can't wait to get some Pacesetter LT's and get rid of these damn things. If you really wanted them though, I'd sell mine to ya. But, I don't have any extra money for new headers to replace them right now.

the thing is i got someone whos got some used shorties for $125 but its for dual cats so i was wondering if it was worth it?I currently have a stock y-pipe so having one fabbed wouldn't be a problem.

Oh, for that price, they'd be better than stock manifolds, I guess. And you probably have to worry about emissions being out in Cali and all.

yeah emissions suck, i guess once i get the headers ill go to shop and ask to see what they can do.
