When my car was stock (01ss) I had a SLP 85 mm mass air sensor, and a LS1 Acufab 75mm Throttle body. Car ran and ideled fine with these parts.

After my Twin intercooled D1-sc Procharger system was installed, car surged , stumbled off idle, ran iradic etc,
my tunner tryed to fix it, even driled a hole in the throttle body blade, because my idel would stick at 1,200 rpm then after a little while would fall sometimes stall.

So i swaped out the SLP MAS and accufab TB for the stock parts,

car idled much better no idle sticking , etc,
but still has a little hesitation off the clutch sometimes, i think its the tune, now maybe the car can be fine tuned,

*Let me know if others out there had problems like mine with aftermarket throttle bodies and Mass air flow sensors.

It sounds like a tuning issue. Are you tuning it yourself? If so, you may want to bring it somewhere that specializes in LS1 tuning with programs like HPTune or LS1-Edit.

Also, I'm looking to put the same kit (D1-SC) on my '00 Trans Am Firehawk. How was the install (in general) and also... did it all fit under your stock hood?

t/b shouldnt affect it but the slp maf is a pia to tune/work. sounds like it just needs some fine tuning
