Default Idle issue when the car is hot

I have a 99 m6 Z28 full bolt ons cam only TS228/228 588/588 112 FAST78 LS1Edit. Anyways, I have a problem with the idle after the car gets warmed up. It runs very good, it idles fine until it warms up then it wants to stumble and hunt for the idle. Could this be a timing issue or am I missing something?

Yeah, because it's the flywheel's fault the engine can't idle propperly once coolant temps hit a certain level. Some people, I tell ya...

You need to either find a new tuner or learn how to do it yourself.

Idle (and basic engine operation) comes down to air, fuel, and spark. If one or more of these 3 isn't where it needs to be, you'll have problems....and unless you have some magical flywheel, it's not the culprit.

If it only does it while hot I'd venture to guess your RAF is not correct

Yep - mine did that until I got the RAF squared away.

its base Running Airflow....Do a log with a Idle Air Config and you can use that to tune your idle with the histograms...look for it on the hptuners forum

Mine was dipping and almost stalling right when the High fans kick on.
Just figured this out today, but your RAF does need to be close before that will matter.

If the car is idling fine, say @ 180~190*F or so, turn on both fans via the VCM controls, if it stumbles and almost kills like it does the way you describe it, that could be it.

To alleviate it you will want to bump up the "Cooling Fan Airflow" for "Fan 1 & 2"

I bumped mine up from .2 to .45
It doesn't dip nearly as far when they kick on now.
Just stumbled on this thread and reminded me of what I just tackled today.

May or may not be your problem.
