Lets play whats this noise My 99 Z28 A4 has a very loud growling noise from the rear end but only when I turn to the right and am off the gas or the brakes this noise is driving me crazy I have replaced everything including seals bearings posi and gears the only thing I haven't replaced is the axles. Some one tol me that the heat treating can wear off the axle and make this noise but it won't hurt anything. One other thing I have been driving it like this for two years and when I change the gear oil I don't get any metal shavings other than the usual I've also had it at the trackseveral times with no problems. The posi is an auburn but I had this noise with the torsen also THANKS
