Default AIS methanol results

I have the AIS methanol kit that mounts in the trunk. EASY install and holds 1.5 gallons of meth. I got the progressive controller and the 6gph and 12gph nozzles.
I went to the track with some low boost this weekend....about 600rwhp to test it out. Only log i kept (laptop battery kept dying) my IATs started at 87 degrees at the line...ended at 59 degrees at the end of the 1/4...ambient was 62 degrees. I will have more results with more boost after the 30th.
Rodney has been GREAT to deal with. Oh...I am running straight methanol..no water.

Getting ready to pick up a custom kit from them. I need a spray bar setup to go into the blower manifold. We will see though.

Hi Jerry,

Sounds like everything is working out good for you know. Post some pictures of your car if you have a chance. Thanks for the support, nice working with you.

+1, Really interested to see how its mounted and ran in an f-body. I currently have the snow kit but am running out of room under the hood to mount my tank. Curious where all the lines run as well. Now sure i like the idea of straight meth running the length of my car but if it works, proven and safe, then it cant be a bad idea!

usd2sing by any chance do you think that tank would fit in the spare tire well without any problems?

i routed the line just like you would an n20 line.
under carpet, behind threw the pass side kick panel and runner, then thru the grommet at pcm area.

spare tire area...yeah, it will fit but wont sit all the way down on the btm, you might have to make a floor for it to keep it level. but sliding it down in there is no biggy. the anten support makes it a little tight but it fits.

im happy with the package, literally less than 1hr install not including nozzle to tb drill/tapping..it works as described.

this car (v6 turbo) had trouble with kr at any timing above 13-14* with 15lbs boost..i can now lock in 20* with 20-22lbs boost and no kr..but i am running the dual nozzle kit. it works. im happy with it

cablebandit, those numbers look great. Don't know if you've mentioned it or not, but do you run an intercooler too?

I know everybody will say get an intercooler PLUS a methanol kit, but, what do you guys have to say about running only a meth kit on a street/strip car at nothing more than 15 lbs of boost? Reliable and beneficial enough for a car that is not an all out race car?
