Tach slow and limiter hard?
Is it me or is the tach slow and the rev limiter strange?
I made a second gear blast (3.42 gears for now) logging mph and time. The tach said 6000 when the engine stopped momentarily and then climbed past that point. Perhaps it only appeared to do so as the tach caught up. I don't know. But, the log shows around 6300 or 6400 for the limit. The other thing is that the engine went dead, then came back, then went dead, and I backed off. I am used to soft limits, but this acts like it totally chops fuel off at the limit and turns it back on after the RPM drops enough. Does that match with your experience?
As a side note, the Auterra PDA software has the capability to log like this, but they don't have a conduit for export. I tossed together my own and would freely share it, but it runs on linux.

u got it right... when you hit the limiter fuel gets shut off
Also the tachs on the cars are slow, which is why people often either go w/a autometer tach or get a shift light.
