Default crank pos. sensor

i just did a cam swap and headers and somewhere along the way i ripped my wires out of the c.p.s. and the chilton book says one wire is one color but on my car its not the same. also i removed my egr. but i am gettin no spark and i need help with whatever anybody thinks.

What vehicle/year are you working with?
I believe a faulty crank sensor will keep you from firing. I would look to fix it before moving on to anything else.

Looked back at a couple of your posts - is it an '02? EGR removal has me confused. If it is an '02 probably the same as mine. Looking at the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor connector end view with the tab on top the wires are DK BLU/WHT (sensor siginal), YEL/BLK (low reference) and LT GRN (12V reference) left to right according to my helms.

so what happens if you put the wrong wires in the wrong slot?

Having not tested this, I'm not certain... although I would imagine it shouldn't cause irrevocable harm. Hook the wires up correctly and give it a shot. What codes are you showing?

so i just hooked them up in the order that 2001nbm... says and i just now threw a code i get p03335 ckp malfunction
