Default Tuning an auto car with Edit

For the average person, what tables are most commonly used to tune the auto tranny if a power adder has been installed or even a cam?

In those tables, what gets changed on average? Shift firmness, shift points, line pressure?

Default Re: Tuning an auto car with Edit

If I were you I would find where you make peak power and determine how fast the car drops off after you have passed the peak. if it is within 10 hp then I would set the 1-2 300 rpm past the peak power the 2-3 200rpm past and the 3-4 150 past. The way to do this is to increase the MPH in the shift tab and then make them all the same. ie if the mph was 1-2 33mph @6000rpm 2-3 65mph @6000rpm make them 1-2 36@6300 2-3 68mph @ 6200 all this is assuming you are making peak @ 6K but you are probably higher about 6400 but you get the point. The shift tab is only enabling a shift it will take an instant for it to occur though. The MPH and RPM have to be met before this will occur. 0 out the upshift tq red, inc line press 125% accross and then I would set the shift time to .2 sec any shorter and you could be burning clutch packs. Hope this helps If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call 813.253.0961
