Default 5.3 in 65 falcon

New guy here just wanted to share some pics, great board, lots of great info on here!

Not sure what happened, the 5.3 was supposed to go in my chevelle but ended up in my falcon...LOL Its going to look pretty much like a stock 6cyl falcon right down to the column shift and bench seat and steel wheels.

Its a 5.3/4l60e, mti c2 cam, 918 springs, pacesetter longtubes (fit almost perfectly!) and to make room a mustang II suspension. No modification of the tunnel was necessary, all the accesorys from the truck fit without modification, including the ac compressor.

Its all fabbed up minus one tube on the header I need to finish (hit steering shaft). Even the factory column shifter stuff worked with just a small amount of reworking.

Here are some pics for now, its off getting painted right now. Should have it back next week so i can start putting it all back together.

I am running a single 3" system with cutouts before the Y, anyone have any suggestions for a VERY quiet 3" muffler? Not too worried about power since I can open the cutouts..

Looks pretty good man. I've always liked the Falcons more than the Mustangs

Do you happen to know which pacesetter model# those are? Look like a nice tight tuck. I've been wanting to ditch the home-brew shorties on my truck.

pretty interesting-i was just talking to a guy that had a 62 falcon roller the other day, thought an ls motor would be pretty neat in it-i am doing a chevelle/ls conv. now, but the falcon could make a neat little sometime race car-i would be interested in picking your brain if i decide to get it

I have a 5.3 in a Sonoma with a single 3" pipe through a Flowmaster 50 Delta series muffler. Very quiet in the cab but has a good tone outside, not loud.
