Default Boost Cam

The cam setup I have in my car now is 222/224 with 112 lsa. Do you guys think I am missing alot of potential power from not having a boost cam or is the not enough difference to make a dent?

You're fine. Don't mess with it.

Kettle of worms.. going to hear arguments if you search a bit for no split, reverse split and normal split and for higher lift, lower lift and high and low lsas. Seems turbos will work pretty good with almost any cam actually. Depends a bit on backpressure and all that stuff too maybe.

Thats said I am using what lingenfelter calls their turbo cam. They used to use their gt2-3 on most of their builds and now like the gt7 maybe gt 11 on the wilder stuff. These are very similar to some years of z06 cams incidentally.

ling and z06 cam specs.

01 ZO6 cam: 204/211 .525/.525 -116 LSA
Lingenfelter GT2 205/212 .540/.540 –116.5CL

02-03 ZO6 cam: 204/218 .551/.547 -117.5 LSA
Lingenfelter GT2-3 207/220 .571/.578 –118.5CL

05-07 ZO6 cam 210/230 .561/.557 –120.5 LSA
Lingenfelter GT7 208/230 .554/.546 –121CL

Pretty simular don't you think?

I would like to see some more dynos of bunch of different cams on same turbo engine maybe high tech performance could do a test with the new two piece timing cover on engine dyno.

So will I still make good power at low RPM's? I know some boost is getting bleed off down low but since the duration isn't that long will it bother?

You are fine. As stated above, some people say go large or small or mild. With a 118lsa and some say 110 lsa. Just keep the cam you have, I do not think the gain will be worth the swap.

you will have better power down low since the overlap factor won't take affect until you are under boost. So basically it will be running like a heads and cam package up until the boost hits which is kinda late being a butt mount.
