Default Down and Out... Rob from P-Built to the rescue

Just got done rippin around town with my newly built 4L60e from Rob@P-Built. I love how this thing shifts at low throttle, the 1-2 shift is amazing... crisp, with a clean jerk that isn't overwhelming. Getting the 2-3 shift done without hesitation is a new thing to me. My old tranny would flare in the high RPM's, something i don't miss at all. I have yet to take it to the track , but I'm sure i'll pick something up and will update this post when I do.

Thanks again to you Rob for getting this thing done on your time off. It goes to show it's not just all about the parts, you actually need a builder with the knowledge for high performance. Something Rob lacks none of. The guy's follow through effort was also a suprise to me. Something my other builder did not do. He clearly cares alot about his customers, going through every step of a break in process I had no knowledge of. Shoot, Rob had me call him 3-4 times during the installation, break in and road test.

If I sound like i'm overly appreciative, your right. Rob and Performabuilt helped a stranger out that they didn't have to, just another great example of commited and exceptional customer service from Performabuilt and there associates.

Just dropped the pan after break in. Heres the pics.... Fluid condition looks normal to me. Magnet did it's job with the break in dust. So far so good

yeah lol that was a toasted tranny when i got it band pin was to short, gasket was misaligned 3-4 setup was a mess glad to hear its all good took me long enough but hell i work 12 hrs per day most days

Just wanted to update this thread.

I made it out to bithlo lastnight, the DA was 226 so i figured i'de drive out and try to get a run in. I ended up backing up my 11 sec pass that I ran a year ago. I went 11.83@116.90 with a 1.775 sixty. I hooked pretty good, but the thing i thought was cool, was the way that 2nd gear bit, I wish i had a video, but it was pretty amazing how it threw me back into the seat. Rob Built dumdumdum!

man I was out there last night I guess I missed ya lol I ran a 16.74 at 103 lol I rolled through the light and then took a nap for 4 seconds lol after that I parked it lol

This one rob just helped out a guy for free who had some miss fortues with and allready built unit from somewhere else. Normally we do not take in other units and build them however when one is bought from us they typically ship in about 7 business days

what is your setup we need to decide if the 80 is really what you need not trying to unsell you but we like to sell for the customer need things to think abot on the 80 yes its a brute however it is heavy and gearing is different and its not plug and play. give me some more info and lets see what best suites ya

I am also interested in this.

I have auto 04 GTO with a 408 with Procharger D-1SC at 630rwhp/560rwtq. I will upgrade to a different blower looking to make somewhere in 700-750 hp. I really like the Level 3 tranny you offer for 3225. But how much would a fully built 4L80E for my needs cost me with a converter. Also is it worth getting it over the level 3. keep in mine it will be about 700ish hp on a gto that weighs about 4100lbs
