did i lose 3rd and 4th gear?
put my stall in the other day, drove it for the first day yesterday, just to work and back maybe about 10 miles total. didnt install the trans cooler. thaught it would be ok because i was goin to do it today. just got home and went down the street trying to show my friends that it hits the rev limiter when i get on it for a sec. did maybe 60-100 at about 3/4 throttle and made a u turn and was going to show em a little from a low roll about 20, got up to about 60 or so and it felt like it was in nuetral, pulled over, for a sec put the trans in each gear and it seemed alright. has first and second, but stays in second. that was maybe a 2 mile drive. came home checked the fluid and it seemd alright. light red. little bit of smoke was coming out of the dipstick tube. what happend?

i dont know why it did the neutral thing. but afterwards it didnt do that 1 and 2 are still fine, just wont go into 3rd or 4th. can i just replace the 3-4 clutch packs?

You can install just the 3/4 clutch pack, but it will not last any time. So why build a problem?
The best route to go would be to remove the unit and have it built by professionals who know your unit inside and out, professionals who are capable of building it to high performance standards and get it right the 1st time.
It does indeed sound like you have lost the 3/4 clutches.
If you would like to discuss some options do not hesitate to give me a call. I am at the shop every day but Sundays, and here until at least 7:00 p.m. most week nights.
Good Luck dude!
