iron 383/procharger build
I'll be swapping a 4" crank and more bore into my 5.3 at some point (sooner than later hopefully) And have some questions about the setup...
I was originally thinking about:
Iron block 383ci stroker
D-1SC w/FMIC
Vic Jr intake w/elbow and 90mm TB
massaged 317 heads (eventually aftermarket castings)
Custom cam
Does this sound like a solid combo? It will be going into an ext cab 2wd truck... the truck's already been in the mid 12's on the cam only 5.3 and some nitrous (street tires) I'm not really spun up on F/I but I want to learn.
Main things I need to know... fuel system requirements, injector size, pump(s) etc
-cam specs, I am not a fan of anything off-the-shelf... I like it to be tailor made to what the vehicle is intended for and its mods... I'm not looking for final numbers or anything, just differences in theory from N/A or "nitrous" cams as opposed to F/I
and any other odds and ends I'll need.... I'll probably be fabbing up my own intercooler larger than the one in the kit. the truck isnt exactly a DD anymore but will see a few miles.

I'd go with an F-1A ProCharger blower, check out the dyno sheet from this LS2-402/F-1A.
Check out the fuel system we put together for my Camaro below.

this will be a 75% track setup and 25% street I guess by the time it is done...
any advice on cam choice for such a build??
I've looked at that build on your site... VERY nice. I like the D-1SC for this one because of the quicker spool... I know it wont make near the boost but it will be there sooner I would think... and with a 34-3600 converter with a high STR, it should come in nice and solid too...

like I stated... I'm not really looking for cam suggestions persay... just differences in theory based on your experiences and trial and error... I know the reasoning behind wider LSA etc etc... but there's way more to it...
