Direct bolt-in's are in the ballpark of 2500 for a 12bolt GM or a Dana 60. But you can find some used cheaper if you shop around on the Ebay or what ever. I am not a real big fan of the 9in but its a 100000 times stronger than the 7.5 10 bolts in our cars ,but dana 60's are very tuff and you dont have a ford part in your car. check out Strange

If your car has the three channel ABS (plug on the center of the rearend) you'll need the 12 bolt.

The 12 bolt is lighter in weight than the 9 inch and has about 3% less loss due to it's gear angle configuration. It's way lighter than the Dana.

Unless you're making more than like 600 RWHP, you'll never need anything stronger than the 12 bolt. And it's a GM design. Go Strange, I've heard many bad stories about Moser about fitment, noise and availability.

I have a bud with a blown 800 HP '66 Impala with a 12 bolt. He hooks. He's broken everything except the rear. It doesn't even make any noise.

Any rear made for our cars will be a bolt-in. They'll accept the TA, brakes, etc.

If you are not running any faster than a 9.50 you will be fine with a 12 bolt. Install is easy and with a 12 bolt, it takes the same length drive shaft. With the 9", you will need a 1" longer shaft.
