Default Dyno Results Norris tune texas speed ms3 cam prc 5.3 heads pics vids everything

Just thought i would post up the results of My friends car he had Dyno tuned by Mike Norris. Car made 420 Hp 371 tq. The car made pretty good power under the curve and fell off up top do to some mechanical problems Mr. Norris informed us of. the problems are either the torque converter clutch not holding all the way up top or the torque converter not being installed properly making it fall off at the top, and the dip in the Hp curve could also be attributed to the aluminum Harland sharp rockers that were installed. But the car makes my friend extremely happy none the less. Mike Norris did a great job with the car tuning both W.O.T and fixing some drive ability concerns he had with the car. He is a great guy and takes pride in his work. I personally have all the confidence in the world in his tunning ability and workmanship. I would recommend his services to anyone.
Full specs on the car:
Pacesetter long tube headers and ORY
Borla catback
K&N Fipk
Lingenfelter Wiend Intake manifold.
Texas speed PRC 2.5 5.3L heads
MS3 cam
Harland sharp rockers
LS7 lifters
Ported ls6 oil pump
Roll master double roller timing chain
3.73 10bolt rear.
Performabuilt stage 2 4L-60E 3300 stall
Also John at Texas speed was awesome, he answered my questions i had about my buddy messing up the o-ring on his oil pump. Thanks everyone.

That intake manifold is junk....swap it out and watch the #'s rise. Probably over 10 rwhp and 10rwtq to be had with a swap to ls6, better #'s with Fast.

You should remove two thing from your list & i think you will push easily 450hp+ :
K&N Fipk
Lingenfelter Wiend Intake manifold.

Replace them with new FastToy 85 air lid & with ported fast 92mm intake + 92mm TB ...You can add cutout for cheap mod .

thanks.

I told him the same thing, as did Mike Norris. Everything else other then those two items were picked out by me. He doesn't really know that much about ls1's as to what works and what doesn't. I picked the heads and cam for him and were to get it tuned. Most of the time he listens and on those two items he didnt so it is what it is. I think after Mike Norris said something he came around to the idea of that intake being junk. Though he will probably keep the FIPK.

good numbers all things considered. my car made 452/393, but it was a M6, BUT it had a 9" and i had a FAST90 that i ported. my cam was a 231/237 cam.

that car should push 460rwhp with little more.

Its not my car, but i don't think it ever had a Firehawk hood because its a 98, i think someone cloned it then sold it to him. If you notice it does not have the Firehawk emblem on the front bumper or the rims and i looked at his RPO codes and they didn't have the WU6 option. It could have been a dealership clone Firehawk I'm not sure.

haven't made a decision on the heads im just gonna have stock heads for a few months so i can drive the car while i save for the new heads its probably only gonna make 350ish to the wheels with stock heads but im looking for close to 400 with some nice heads later on. its probably not gonna make the same power as adams car but it will be much better than stock!
