Question Cost to Install a Trans/Cooler??

I am wondering how much a shop should charge to install a B&M Supercooler, and a FLT Level 4 Transmission? I know it is going to be a rough estimate, but I just need a rough estimate. I have had quotes of $500 and $550....and they seem too much for just a swap.....

Thanks ahead of time guys,

James

I called a local, independently owned shop of 30 years - a highly respected
repair facility. They own the land and shop and all is paid for, so they are
not worrying about having to pay a mortgage/lease. I asked how much they
would charge to swap out the 4L60E and torque converter (95z). They quoted
me $600.00. That is pure labor, of course. So your quote is pretty good,
since you've got a trans cooler in the equation.

I did the swap myself, knowing it all the time - I was just curious how much
a shop would charge. Doing a tranny swap is a piece of cake, really.

If you can change oil and filter, you can install a transcooler. Spend your money on performance parts that you need.
