Stock size front tires rub?
I took my car in to a tire place a few hours ago to get some Traction TAs put on. I initially went with the 235/55-16, but the place just called me and said the 235s were rubbing in the front. This just doesn't seem likely to me unless there is something else wrong. I don't see why factory would put 235s on if they rub and don't people put insanely wide tires on the fronts too?
Could part of this be that there is close to 100k on the car and I have no knowledge of a shock/spring update? The car does seem to get a bit bouncy at times, but I suppose it matters where the tires were rubbing. The place wouldn't want to put tires with a smaller width if it wasn't having issues on the sides.
Curse having no money.

Well, it looks like they took out the plastic separator so I cannot inspect much further than to say there appears to be plenty of room with my wheels straight. Wouldn't it have been fairly obvious if the tires were rubbing, like wouldn't there be a decrease in handling or weird sound of some kind?
