I dont know how you would get duplicolor to stick to the wheels well and last but it may be just as easy to clean them evry time and touch them up to

that thread is pretty much how I painted mine but I left the lip silver and used Duplicolor Gunmetal. If done with good prep the paint sticks fine and lasts just as long as any other painted wheels. I think all the posts about painted wheels chipping and painte peeling are from people who don't take their time and do it right. I'm on my 3rd set of tires on my painted stockers and they still look great and have only a couple chips in them after 3 years.

Those look really good!

I've been thinking gunmetal wheels might look good on my car...I have an old set of 16" T/A stockers, maybe I'll paint them like yours and see how it looks.

self-etching primer on the bare metal before laying down the duplicolor will help it to stick, and multiple layers of clearcoat that was designed to go on wheels will help prevent chipping.
