Default Single vs split pattern N20 cams - any comparos

I was talking to some folks last nite, and the 224/112-114 cams always come up in conversation... It's well known that the 224 cams work great in LS1's and in general dyno within 90% of the really big cams.

But what about a 224/228, how does a cam like that dyno vs a 224/224? Or something more extreme like a 222/230//112. In the last example we have a cam that will need a lot more tuning to idle properly.

And furthermore, any nitrous numbers? I hate to always say to folk to go with more exhaust duration without maybe seeing a dyno or two... Based on what folks say, you would expect two similar cars to dyno close to each other NA, but the nitrous cam to outdyno the other when sprayed, hopefully +20rwhp or something measureable. Any data?

I gained 18-24RWHP swapping from a 226/234 112LSA comp cam (.560 lift)
to my current
230/230 112LSA .59X lift XE-R
Part of that was lobe profile but not all
Cheers,
Chris

i had a 222/230/541/5??/114 cam in when i first put my motor together. on motor it was pretty weak, 380 hp 370tq at the wheels, put the tr224 112 in and made 405/397 on my 10.0 to 1 motor. now on the jug, it was a different story. the 222/230 made 505/630 on a tnt 100 shot. never dynoed the tr224 on the spray yet since i am changing over to direct port now. the split felt great on the spray, but very sluggish on the motor.
