Its a great combo, Im using the cam but, couldnt afford the heads.
I made some decent power with the patriot heads so Im sure I would have made more the the trick flows.

there are better heads for alot less $$$, just look in the Super Chavy May 08 issue.
they took a stock LS1 and put a set of Total Engine Airflow (Stage-1.5) 5.3L truck heads with a Comp Cams XR265HR cam and made 535HP and 478LB-FT of turque.
the heads are $1499 and the cam is $399.

based on results I think TFS heads have been rated right up there with ETP and AFR as far as this board is concerned...do some research on here for combos with them.

Don't believe everything you read in a magazine, really...sponsorship $$ means an awful lot to those guys...

Trickflows and AFRs seem to be the two top rated options from what I've read on this site (lots of info in the Dyno section on all different brands and styles of heads), but there are some other good options out there, as well. I personally haven't had great experience with Patriot, but that's just me. You get what you pay for, I guess.

I made 430rwhp (New locked #'s)through a stalled auto and a 12bolt with 4.10 gears with the trick flow heads and an Allan Futral cam. Still trying to get the converter right and get the new tires on but I should be in the low 11's for sure. Last track run I ran a 11.72 @ 115mph with the converter only flashing to around 2800rpm and running out of gear on the big end of the track. Good luck in your search!!
