Default adj. a master cylinder....

i put in my adj. master cylinder, and now my clutch pedal comes out almost all the way before the car starts to move. is that how it is supposed to be or is the car supposed to proceed to move right when the clutch comes off the floor? the car shifts fine, but i want this thing in perfect running order once i go to the track

It's adjustable so you can adjust the engagement point

As long as the clutch is not dragging, or slipping, the engagement point becomes more of a personal choice. As long as your clutch is fully releasing when the pedal is depressed, and fully engaging when the pedal is out, you will be fine. Sounds as though you may need to adjust yours a tad... Get the pedal a little lower...
