Default Superman V.3

Well i guess i'll start a thread for the new build now that its finally coming together. As you might know, i busted my transmission pump when connecting the stock trans to the motor, which set me back some time. So i did what needed to be done anyway.... have the trans built. So i got the trans back Friday, shes loaded and warrantied! Woohoo! My buddies Mike and Eric came over later Friday to give me a hand as well which was a HUGE help, thanks guys! Anyways, when they got here on Friday afternoon, my car had no engine/trans/k-member, anything.... was BARE. Now shes finally taking form. Myself, Mike and Eric got the new engine bolted to the new trans outside of the car and managed to NOT break the pump this time! What a relief! Then we lifted up the engine/trans combo and dropped them into the car together through the top. Went in just fine but all 3 guys were needed to manuever the huge combo in there. We then tightened up the APS turbo assemblies and mounted them to the motor. Then we mounted the trans up while still keeping the engine held up by the picker. Then we wrestled the new BMR K-member for a few hours struggling. The following morning, i worked with it myself and finally got that SOB in. Today i wrestled the damn motor mounts into the k-member, what a PAIN! I ended up literally grinding down my one motor mount bolt til the end looked like a flathead screwdriver and jammed it in and slammed it home with a hammer! So now the Engine and Trans are MOUNTED in the car on the new k-member with the turbo assembled hung! Woohoo! I wrapped up the night bolting my power steering pump back up to the head, attaching connections to the trans and engine, moutning valley cover, knock sensors, etc. So here she sits!

Forged Shortblock

Longblock

Covers on

Turbo Assemblies

New Trans/Converter

New BMR K-Member next to the stocker

New Gauge set-up installed

And here is what my car looked like as of Friday

and

Now it sits....

More to come soon!

Thanks guys. Local guy non sponsor built it. Told me it will hold and is as good as he can build it. He is so confident in it he is backing it with a 1 year warranty under any circumstance. Said he built it to hold power and knows exactly what i'm doing so no matter what happens within 1 year of my car starting, he will fix it!

The guy who built that trans is VERY good, he built the trans for Val's car who won the all motor LSx shootout, and he has built converters and such for many friends of mine who are running around with 8 and 9 sec. cars.

car's looking good johnny!

Looks good man. You are gonna need to unbolt that throttle body to get the intake tube on there. Nothing flexes so it will not go on easily. I remember that part of the install. You are making me want to pull my rocker covers and paint them up. Hmmmm, maybe I will do that this week since the weather turned again.... I drove the car last week and MAN was that fun. It has been a long winter without it.....
