Default Installed Koni's now have clunk noise

Installed koni sa's and now have a clunk sound in the rear sounds like if a wheel would be loose or something just wondering what you all think it could be maybe bushings or something

Check all your bolts and torque specs. Suspension is one of the places where it gets dangerous to say, "That seems tight enough."

well my DA's do the same thing, and have for years
I even sent them back to koni and got another set after taking it into the dealership, to check what the noise was(under warranty at the time), and they said the shocks were bad.

Well Koni said we'll replace them but doubted they were bad. Well I put the new shocks in, and they did the same thing. Apparently the oil, on the outside of the shock made the dealership say it was bad when I later asked.

I have since put energy suspension endlinks and poly bushings in the rear and now it squeaks even more

Well I think you can use lithium grease to quiet it down, but it only last so long.
I have never asked koni what grease they use on the poly bushings on the shocks as they came pre-lubed.

If someone knows a better way to quiet it down, it would be appreciated.

troof!

I remember a guy here on LS1Tech having the issue; he went back and reinstalled the offending strut, turning the top bolt just a 1/4 turn tighter and had the noise completely disappear.
