Default LCA Relo's + Adj. T.A. + Torque = CARRRNAAAAGGGGEEE!!!! *PICS*

went to the track and wheel hopped pretty hard and tried to ride it out. guess the tires were just too grippy because i annihilated my edelbrock adjustable torque arm. i think this part is just a piece of junk though because this is the 2nd one ive trashed. the first one had a great big "E" lazer cut out of the part that bolts to the torque arm. this one is solid but still broke in the same place. im trying to get another one for free since it's under warranty, if not i guess ill get a spohn. has anyone else ever done this besides me? i had the pinion angle set on -2 and the LCA's in the bottom hole on the relocation brackets.

also what sux is that the stock torque arm wont fit all the way over the moser 12 bolt. i got the bottom two bolts in but the top wont go around enough to get bolts in the top. (moser has 4 bolts instead of 2 bolts/nuts like the 10 bolt)

How much power are you putting down? I got a friend that has around 400 to the tires and he just broke his edelbrock TA. They're junk from what I hear. Look into the BMR trak pak adjustable TA. Im actually about to order it in a bit when Lee calls me back from BMR

Maybe this explains why the Edelbrock TA is so much cheaper than the others out there

This is the reason you dont skimp on suspension parts. Hit up BMR, UMI or Spohn now!

yes it is!!! exactly why! see i bought my first one when i was making 290rwhp/330rwtq and it worked fine for a while then broke! and i got this one for free under warranty and it broke!! so needless to say im DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO PURCHASE ANOTHER EDELBROCK TORQUE ARM EVER.

however.....the head of warranty stuff at edelbrock named Max just called me. said he got together with the head of engineering, head of suspension and head of exhaust and they are going to re-engineer the bracket that mounts to the rear end. and send me a knew one. and im a little strapped right now because i need tires too. so im gonna get through this, break this one and then buy a spohn or bmr. yea i know, im all about doing it right the first time but i gotta cheap out right now.

Hark_Z im only making about 370rwhp 370rwtq.

I here ya man, i ordered a set of subframe connectors that where supposed to be black powdercoated. Well when i opened the box they were this shitty painted silver. Now after about a year they're getting some rust spots on them. Oh and lets not forget that wonderful LT1 intake they came out with lol

Maybe not compared to some members on here, LT1MAN, but 370 torque is still a lot of twisting force

I know that we never want stuff to break in the first place......but this kind of customer service is much better than I have received from other companies....that is why I will always look at Edelbrock parts for all my cars first if they are available.........

Weak torque arm or not, wheel hop breaks parts. Next time just get out of it.

Yea any wheel spin/hop at the start of a run is a garbage run anyway. I have all spohn parts on my car and I dead hook with 1.7x 60' times.

The edle-broke unit has been discussed quite a bit - they have been breaking since their release.

Thanks for the recommendation guys

This isn't the first time this has happened to a Edelbroke Arm, but I also see it is being used with a Moser 12-Bolt which doesn't help. If the bolts on the 12-Bolts would come loose or were loose it will take a toll on any arm out there. Make sure you check those bolts often with that rear end!!

If I can answer any questions please ask. Thank you

Ryan
