Major change to the tire rules incase you didn't see it.

I sold my 28" et streets so I could run in this class since before the rules said 28" for radials only. I bought another set of wheels/tire(17x11 rear) and now won't be able to run a 17" drag radial in this class even though guys can run 28" et streets on 15" wheels. I definitely think the 28" et street on a 15" wheel is far better than the 17" drag radial.
I thought this was a STREET CLASS? How come us 17x11 guys can't run our drag radials? I don't own a set of drag wheels, only one set of wheels that I drive to the track on in my street car then race and drive home.
Why the last minute changes also?
Any chance of letting the guys running bigger wheels run a shorter wider drag radial? I believe this would be completely fair and give no advantage over the guys running 15" wheels and taller bias ply tires.
DOT tire only. 28" X 10.5" (actual treadwith).

I thought we had this stuff worked out weeks ago.
We need to be more specific on that rule and post up what tires will be allowed and what tires will not. It seems kinda vague right now.
The 315/ 35/ 17 should be allowed because it is only a 26" tire.
The 325/50/15 I think is a 28" tire with a 10" tread right?
I will discuss with Ray and get back to you guys.
Next year we will have more precise rules. Far to many wheel/tire size choices to make everyone happy.
We just need to keep the large tire out of this class.
