Default 2002 Ss

I have a 2002 SS six speed that is missing the rubber insert for the cup holder. Does anyone know where I can find one (two)??? Dealers do not carry, or are able to get. Thanks.

Junkyard would probably be your best bet.

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to it though.

Although I agree with the junkyard. I would imagine (but not 100% sure) that those were the same for all 4-gen Camaro's and Firebirds.

I am pretty sure the rubber piece was the same in all 4th gens too.

I just looked up the center console part list, and there isn't a rubber liner for the cup holder . . . 1997 (unique color) nor 1998 through 2002

I'll have to look at my cars when I get home I am not aware of one being there . . .

Thanks for checking. I've got the car almost finished, and somehow this piece is missing. The dealer also looked it up, and using full Vin, it shows console, and the rubber piece is not made/can not get, even with a new total console purchase. I have been unable to get in junkyard also.

I don't have one for my car, and wasn't aware that any had them. I do have a rubber insert for the little cell phone sized cubby hole in front of the console though.

Hmmm, that is interesting. I have a 1996 Camaro and it does. I guess they stopped doing that in the mid 1990s.

1996 Camaro has a different center console than 1997 and up . . . .

In 1997 GM changed the design of the dash and center console for the Camaro.

Yeah, I knew that. Does the 97 and newer console open towards the passanger instead of towards the back.

Yeah I love that poster too. I went to the Chicago Auto show in 01 or 02 and got about 10 of them LOL. They have that picture on one side and the SOM SS on the other side.

None came with mine either, so I picked one up for a Sunfire and it fit like a glove.
