Curious to know what you did to break your rear end?

I was dumb enough to let the pinion bearing go bad in mine the first time then the torsen went bad at the track with street tires so I thought I could get away with changing to an auburn pro posi myself and set it up wrong and burnt up my second set of richmond gears and then had to buy new ones and take it to a profesional

Well I finally broke my Posi. %th pass at the dragstrip, I was in the burnout box heating them up, let go of the line lock and CLUNK. I gave her a drop hop and no issue so I staged. Only came out at 1500 rpm knowing she might be broke and got about 10 ft and CLUNK again so I backed off. Drove the car home (about15 miles) with minor issues. I have driven on DR`s for 2 years with 4.10 rear and girdle with welded axle tubes. around 25 track passes and tons of street abuse I finally sheered about 5 teeth off the spider gears in my Auburn Posi. Had the ol` Zexel under the bench so I swapped the ring gear to it and threw in all new bearings/races and shes back.

I put it in drive to go into my garage, not doing anything out of the norm.

I had to replace my axles due to some spalling on the wheel bearings, but so far the rear end lives.
