First run, Bone stock '98 Z28. Let the mods begin
Well I've owned the car for 5 years now and finally decided to run it last night. The car is a 98 Z28 A4 with 3.23"s 83K miles original plugs and dirty air filter . I made 5 runs The first one I left at idle and one of them I left too hard on the converter and spin a little. 1st run was 60' 2.295 and 13.86 @102.45.
Best runwas as follows 2ND best on the righ
R/T .190 -.137
60' 2.146 2.072
330 5.839 5.781
1/8 8.838 8.795
MPH 81.88 81.64
1000' 11.434 11.414
1/4 13.637 13.640
MPH 102.95 101.55
I ran one other 13.656 @102.26 w/2.134 60'
The second best run was a hot one the car was running 210*.
So now comes the Mod's I think I'm going to get the SLP 350hp kit.
What do you guys think that will do if anything? Or is it going to be just a little louder going down the track?

Good times man it's about where I'd expect it. In my 98 ws6 w/ A4 I ran a 13.5 @ 101 which is probably about where you would of been with a little quicker 60' .
I personally wouldn't go in such a conventional approach to modding, I would just do some research on the best mods for the buck and see if they will help you acheive the goals you have for the car.
If it's a car you plan on taking to the track a lot might as well just go with a 12 bolt, suspension and drag radials. And if you can afford more than see what's next. If it's more a street car than anything then they sky's the limit...cam, headers etc.
Good luck.
