Default TH400 to 4l80e driveshaft question

I currently have a th400 tranny and I'm switching to a 4l80e. These use the same yoke on the tranny side correct? How long is the 4l80e shaft compared to the t400? I have a denny's driveshaft so if it needs shortened the labor is covered. Thanks for the help.

I am doing the same thing and have heard that the yokes are the same...I had to have the inside of mine machined to slip completely inside of the truck th400 I have....but was told this will be fine with the 4L80e.
I know MM is running his Denny's d/s originally set-up for M6/moser 12 bolt in his after just swapping the yoke. I think your d/s will have to be shortened about 3-3.5" if you are running a 4" Th400 tailshaft now.
Best thing to do is get the tranny in the car then measure what it actually is.

Is that the 4" tail? That appears to be what I have now.
