Generation IV Internal Engine - Oil pump questions . about if there is supposed to be an O ring from block to oil pum

Check out the picture below.. Is there supposed to be a rubber Oil ring inbetween this and the block ? or does it just sit metal to metal on the block ?

No o-ring needed for that. It's sits directly against the block.
