Here is a pic of the tunnel before cutting, tranny was close to where it would be:

Sideview before hammering(only cut through tunnel bracing not floor board):

Sideview after hammering in for plug fitment:

I dont have a picture of my final setup with speartech plug on tranny plug. It fits nice, and there is enough room for the wire to come back out.

Its not bad, when u see how ppl did it, i could do it over again very quickly. I got sick of looking as well.
Depending on which fittings you use for the cooling loop, you have to cut the other side, i did anyway with the one i chose.

Well, on most 4l80e's, the rear cooling fitting has an extension that extends inthe tranny to dump the fluid in a certain spot, thats critical from what i hear. Some people make custom fittings, some just use stock lines...not sure whats compatible. I purchased a hard line with that extension fitting in it already. The other front fitting i just used a standard AN 1/4" male npt fitting.
If you want more details u can pm me. My fitting is probably not idea because the hardline sticks out enough to cause cutting of tunnel, but it was easy beyond that....i wanted ALL hard or braided lines.
