Default Nervous as hell about my PT test.

Well i have sort been training a litle bit for my PT test. I need to take it again in order for them to get all the papers processed but im just so nervous i wotn pass it again. Will they allow me to take the test with other people? Or allow me to take the test with current ROTC Cadets? I know that it would be easier for me to pass since i would be in a competitive mode. But whenever i run by myself i tend to run slower, therefore causing me to not hit the 15min mark. What advice can yall give? Thanks guys.

P.S: I'm 6'3 190 and i am fit, but for some reason i have trouble with this two mile....

Try to make sure there are others taking it with you.

it's not that i cant make, i cna run for miles, but whenever i'm alone i just run slower so i miss my time by a minute or so. How do i go about asking to test with other people? because from what i'm told they test once a month.

You can request a person to run with you. As long as they don't touch you, it is allowed. Get a buddy that runs near what you feel comfortable with. I have had my best times having a pace man.

Always strive for better than the best. Don't settle for just passing.....unless you wanna be a POG. If you're gonna be a grunt, you better be running right next to me!

Hey, I think I saw your car around... well, maybe. There are a bunch of them now that 1st Cav is back ruining my morning/evening commutes. Just saw a real clean WS6 today with what looked like chrome TTIIs.

Maybe you've seen my car around, I pulled the red stripes off though.

I know which one your talking about. But that wasn't me. I actually don't have a WS6 badge ON my car, lol. I've got to put it on. I've got black 18" AR Earnhart Jr's. My car is diiiirty too. I need to clean it this weekend. Too much rain lately.

Have someone pace you, I paced my soldiers all the time even when I didnt need to take a pt test. Like was said above as long as your not pushing some one physically you can have a pace man.

Its all mental man. I cant run for **** but I still pulled a 23 min 3 mile. Im 5'11 and 220. If you can get your mind right you will pass easy. Also its better to run at a faster than comfortable pace and stop and walk for a few seconds than running a steady slow pace. I found when I was stopping to walk I was only walking a little slower than a slow jog anyway...
