Default Not your everyday LS1 swap

Well I am finally getting around to sharing info on a swap my dad and I am doing. We are putting a 99 LS1 into a 39 Plymouth business Coupe. A little background, well the car was turned into a street rod were it recieved shaved door handles, frenched headlights, smooth turn signals, a 406 SBC, with 700r4 transmission. The car had a stock front suspension with disc brake upgrade and a 10 bolt from a 81 Z28. Complete custom upholstered interior, with electric door poppers and windows. Now the car has had a 68 Camaro front sub grafted on and is recieving a 99 LS1 with 4L60E, also had a column shift before and is now gonna have a 00 Camaro factory floor shifter installed.

so far it is a stock motor with the headers and a ported TB, also has a Yank 3500 in it. Trying to convince him to cam it, and add an LS6 intake before its all said and done. Thanks for the complements. Will try to get a good pic of the TB as I am proud of the way it turned out after I ported it.

Very sweet project. It makes me want to take my LS drivetrain out of my 240, and do something on the lines of this.

Looks like a moonshine runners car, ha thats so awesome!
