there are a few quirks that i need to work out with my lights, hopefully you guys can help.

starting in the front, my amber driver-side turn signal doesn't work at all. not at night, not during the day. the light itself will come on when i turn on the headlights at night though. what gives? also, my driver-side brake light keeps going in and out...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. the taillights work at night, but the driver-side brake light keeps going in and out. i'm wondering exactly what the problem is, and how much it's going to cost to get it fixed.

Check the socket for your front signal light. Friend had a similar issue with his car, found it was the socket had a corroded ground so it wouldn't work right.

Rear brake light, check the socket to see if it is loose at all. Also try swapping bulbs with the passenger side and see if the problem follows the bulb or stays on the driver side.
