Default patriot h/c combo?

anyone running this? i ordered my heads today but they are on back order for about 4 wks. they are the 2031's
https://www.patriot-performance.com/...&cat=37&page=1

i cant remember the specs on the cam right off hand.

they told me it would make 70 rwhp to the wheels, over stock thats only what 360hp? that seems really low to me.

70RWHP, thats power increased at the wheel, Engine HP should be 100hp or so. i didnt calculate it. what did you dyno before?

i havent dynod it, but for a head cam combo with almost a 600 lift and heads that flow 310cfm and have 2.05 intake valves and increase the compression half a point it just seems like not much of a gain.

Ill bet they assumed the car already has Intake, headers, exhaust. Figure an I/H/E car making 350 RWHP, and add 70 from the H/C. I think 420 sounds like a pretty good estimate.

i plan on getting a fast 90/90 in the future, im just wondering what i can expect from headers(longtubes), exhaust (slp loudmouth) 25% crank pulley, ported/polished tb in an ls6 manifold, plus that cam and those heads.

That is a medium/small cam. It all depends on what you want. That cam should have a nice smooth idle. Do you know the LSA for the cam? That will change the way the cam idles/performs. I'm betting its a 114. I have very similar heads milled to 59cc chambers. The original cam installed was a little smaller. The car dynoed 395rwhp with an LS6 intake a lid an full exhaust. Then a cam swap was done and TTP took it to 448rwhp with just their Equalizer V.3.

Regardless, they are good heads and you can't really beat them for the money. That cam will perform very well on the street and patriot would not pair those heads with a crappy cam. I personally would step up to a 230/230 or so duration. That is just my personal preference.

I would give predator-Z a PM or have Pat G spec you one. You can't go wrong there.

I never drove my car when it had the smaller cam in it. The current cam was swapped in right before I bought it. My tune is off but it only bucks when its cold. Now that I'm used to driving the car it drives perfectly fine for me.

As for performance, its hard to say. Like I said it needs to be tuned again. I did walk away from an I/E TA the other night. His best time was 12.9@111 or 112 on street tires and a broken posi. We did a 45mph roll. It was not pretty for him. So it is making good power. Pulls hard from 3000rpm+. Plenty of low end for street driving. It doesn't complain about 6th gear at 45-50mph with 3.42's.

I still say you should talk to pat G or PredatorZ though.
