Just bought new cam. Need new converter right away?
Just bought a Comp cams 222/224 cam .566"/.568" lift @ 112LSA using 918 valve springs and some 955 pushrods with the double roller timing set.
I will be installing a set of strange 3.42 gears. Of course, would be getting tuned, just not having the funds available to do an expensive TC swap yet. Could the car run decently without the converter in? The gears would help alot, and for sure, it needs a higher stall, but whats the limits of stock converters? I would like some input from anyone who uses this cam or a similar cam with an A4. I appreciate your help!

I can't say for certain but from what I read you can do it with that cam. A converter will make a huge difference in it though so it should be next on the list. I'd stay away from the 918's though. They tend to break and can make a mess of things.
