Help getting DCR where it needs to be for 93 octane?
Given that I have a stock LS6 shortblock with an MTI X1 camshaft, can anyone tell me what combo of CC size and gasket thickness I'd need for a 243 head for optimum DCR? The heads I was thinking of were some Patiot stage 2's with 59cc chambers and stock LS6 head gaskets?

we need the exact specs on the cam to know what your dcr will be. is it on a 112 or 114 and any advance ground in like +2 or +4. tightening the quench up by using some .040 mls gaskets will help fight detonation also.

Ok, I decided on running some hand ported 243 heads unmilled with a Cometic .040 gasket and it'll be going on a stock LS6 shortblock with the following cam specs .591/.571 230/227 on a 112. Can anyone tell me the DCR with that combo and if it should work well?
