Default Repairing The Shifter Boot Ring?

Is there a way to do this? The one I bought was broken in 3 places and I epoxied, not glued, it back together and when I try to stretch the boot back over it it keeps breaking again.

I used the 3000 psi epoxy I think, mabye I'll have to get something stronger.

But if you have any tips or tricks please let me know.

Thanks alot

Get in touch with Farmer2 on this site. He makes a metal one for $18 shipped that works great. Excellent guy to deal with also.

I've got one of farmer2's metal rings and it's 100% better than the crappy factory plastic piece.

Another vote for Farmer2's ring. Got that last year after I broke my plastic one. Great product!

Agreed. Screw the stupid plastic ring, it'll just break again. Go with the metal boot ring. I got mine from Farmer, but I believe a sponsor is selling them now.
