PCM - MADZ28 (Madtuner) or PCMforless?
Ok guys and gals, I know that I am probably gonna get a lot of feedback on this and that is what I want. I have done a lot of research and have even spoken to both Bryan and Ion at PCMforless and Madtuner, but want to see what everyone thinks. I have a 383 in need of a good tune (don't have the cash for a dynotune) and I currently use CATS tuner with my cable just fine, but don't have a lot of experience in the detailed stuff. I've been thinking about the email tune as $75 is pretty cheap for a good tune, but can't decide on which one to use. Anyone recommend one company over the other and personal experience?

I have a Madz28 tune from Ion. Runs rich, but that is expected from a mail order tune. Only problem I had was that it took a VERY long time (with multiple calls and emails) for him to return my $300+ PCM exchange refund.

i talked to mad Z too and he anwered me right away all the time! I know someone happy with a tune from him too. He would be my next choice but the previous owner used bluecat and he is great too.

i got a mail order from pcm and got my car adjusted on the dyno, its a 93 so basically fuel pressure and air/fuel ration, the dyno tune was only like 130 bucks, look into it maybe, idk what year ur car is, its easier for 93's.

Ion did my pcm when I installed my LE2 h/c setup. It dyno'd 392rwhp with Ion's tune and after a dyno tune, 8 months later, it dyno'd 407rwhp uncorrected. Not bad for a mail order tune.

I'm probably going to go with Ion, from MadZ28, because he's out of DeKalb, IL. Which is only a couple hours from me. There's really not going to be much of a difference between the two though. I started a thread about mail-order tunes a while back, and, I believe it was Brian, from PCM4Less, that actually got into the thread a little bit. They seem to have very good customer service and, if I remember correctly, he even offered a price match to MadZ28 also.

MadZ here and happy with it, I made the choice by location as for I'm maybe an hour or so away from him and wanted it back fast. I also talked to pcm and they were great people. Like I said It was just closer to me to go MadZ
