Default have an electrical problem with the harness. can somone help diagnose??!?

if you look at the fuse block on the camaro under the hood of an lt1 m6. from the front of the car the furthest bank of fuses to the left on the block. the 20 amp fuse that is there. i believe it controls the maf. and the skip shift etc... for some reason about a month ago it blew. then i put new ones in and it kept blowing. about the same time this started when i turned the heat on a burnt wire smell came into the cabin. now as of late the fuse keeps melting.... can someone offer insight to this. i want my car back on the road

Sounds like a short somewhere. I would start by looking at the wiring to the effected components. You will want a multi-meter, and a wiring diagram. Remove the blown fuse, and check resistance to ground on the fused side (not the battery side). Start disconnecting the wiring to the accesories, and watch that meter. If you are still shorted, you have a wire that has been damaged somewhere. Have you made any changes like headers or anything? A lot of times, wiring gets comprimised during service, rarely does it just fail...
